If you’re anything like me, seeing the words “Trust” and “Will”, immediately invoke feelings of guilt and anxiety. I feel guilty, because, as a mother, this is something I’ve always known I needed to do; however, the complexity, expense, and overall lack of understanding has lead to the “I don’t even know where to start” anxiety. If you’ve felt all these feelings too, then I’ve got some great news for you! Creating a Living Trust and Will, doesn’t have to be stressful, confusing, complicated, time-consuming, or even very expensive.
After doing some research, I found out about LivingTrustify and reached out to them. I wanted to learn more about their process to see if this was something I felt like Kurt and I could actually do. To put it simply, I was blown away by how easy it was to generate all the documents we need! We sat down thinking it might take a few hours, but it took us 15 minutes!! LivingTrustify gathers the necessary information in a straightforward and user-friendly format. They provide all the paperwork and information you need to feel at peace about your family and your estate. Keep reading for all the details about how to create a Living Trust and Will in 3 simple steps.
1. Choose the attorney or program you’ll use to create a Living Trust and Will
This first step, is surprisingly more of a barrier than it may seem. I’m not going to pretend to be any sort of expert about all the legal understanding surrounding this topic. That transparency tells you, that if I can do it, you can do it. Kurt and I have discussed creating a Living Trust and Will for a while, but determined that meeting with an attorney, at this stage in life, would not work for us. Researching different programs for how to do this online, led me to LivingTrustify.
I recommend an easy starting place: watch this 1 minute video detailing 5 Reasons to Use LivingTrustify.
2. Provide the necessary information regarding your estate.
Even though I felt dedicated to this project, I kept procrastinating sitting down together, and getting started. I kept feeling overwhelmed about if we would have enough time before kids demanded our full attention or if I would understand any of the legal jargon. You know the feeling, kind of the way you might feel about taxes. Thankfully, Kurt takes care of that, or I would put it off, for sure! I’m here to assure you, it was so simple with LivingTrustify.
They’ve created a very user-friendly platform. As you initially create an account you click the buttons that apply to you (see the images below for reference). Doesn’t that look doable?
3. Complete the state-specific checklist to finalize your plan.
Once you’ve entered all the necessary information, LivingTrustify generates your documents. Then, they provide you with a state-specific checklist for how to finalize your plan. It’s very straightforward. The team that created this program is incredible and dedicated to helping make this process easier for families. I know if you have any questions they’ll be happy to help.
Last, but not least, you can make an account, input your information, and create a Nomination of Guardian for FREE! If you can’t do anything else right now, do this!! After doing this, I’ve felt so relieved knowing that in the event something tragic happens to Kurt and I, our babes will be taken care of the way we’ve specified.
And LivingTrustify gave me a code to share! Use the code BLOSSOM15 when you’re checking out, for 15% off. This discount is valid for the next week, so make sure to get started right away.
