On social media, I’ve shared Christmas gift ideas and presents we’ve given our kids in the past. I’ve also shared deals for our family’s favorite games and fun activities for keeping kids busy (especially while traveling). I wanted to let you know what we’re actually giving our kids for Christmas this year. Honestly, we always do Christmas away from home and with extended family, so we don’t buy a ton of presents for each of them. We try to find really special gifts and keep it pretty basic.
Christmas Gifts for Kids
Family Gifts
Fort Building Kit. During quarantine, we had to get creative with fun activities we could do at home. We made several different forts, and the kids loved it. My kids also love building and creating, so we thought this would be something they would love. I imagine there will be a lot of forts, castles, reading nooks, hideouts, etc. made with this kit.
Disney Princess Wooden Puzzles. I actually found these while grocery shopping, but they are incredible quality! There are several different versions so I’ll share a few. My kids love puzzles, and it’s nice to get these ones with really thick wooden pieces.
The Adventure Challenge (Family Edition). I am so excited to make memories with this book! It has 50 scratch-off challenges to do together, and a spot to put a picture and write about your memory of doing each challenge. Use my code SARAH15 for a discount!
Family Yearbook. These are expensive and take a lot of time, so it counts as a gift. Actually, my kids LOVE our photobooks, so they will love opening this one up and going through it together.
Stocking Stuffers
Water Wow. These are so fun for the kids, especially when we’re traveling. Getting a pack of 3 is about $10, so I’ll split these up between the kids and it will only be about $3 each.
Socks. My kids always need new socks in the winter, so I grabbed a bunch that were way on sale from The Children’s Place. I also picked some that the girls can wear to church, and some basic socks for Grant.
Unicorn Beanies (Target). These are for the girls are sequined unicorns. They’ll love them!
Mini Coloring Books (Target). I found these in the dollar spot. They are really cute, spiral-bound, winter coloring books, and were $1.
Dolly (age 5, almost 6)
Unicorn Diaries (set of chapter books). These books and the Owl Diaries are ones we check out from the library, regularly. Dolly loves them and will be so excited to own them!
Disney Princess My Friend. These are darling 14-inch dolls, so big, and fun! My girls have played with these at friends’ houses for years, and have been wanting their own forever. They have a great deal right now, on these, especially if you’re buying for more than one little one.
Mini, Sparkly Backpack. The girls like to be like Mommy and are always packing plastic bags as their bag to take on errands or outings. I think it’s time they have something that looks a little nicer.
Lacey (age 4)
5-Minute Bedtime Stories (12 stories per book). These books are usually $12, but have been on sale for $5 for the last week. I grabbed a bunch, because these are some of my kids’ favorite books. Lacey is getting the 5-Minute Princess Stories.
Disney Princess My Friend. I got the girls each their own and I know they’ll love it!
Mini, Sparkly Backpack. Also, getting this for Lacey.
Grant (age 2 1/2)
5-Minute Bedtime Story. Grant is also getting one of these, but he’s getting the Mickey Mouse 5-Minute Bedtime Stories.
Dinosaur Piggy Bank. We’ve needed to get a piggy bank for Grant for a while, and these ones from Target are so cute!
Buzz Lightyear. The kids have been obsessed with Toy Story for the last year. That’s what we all dressed up as for Halloween. Currently, we only have Woody, and mini versions of the other toys. Not only will Grant love this, the girls will be so excited when he opens it!
